Unreal Engine 4

3 posts in this topic

The newest next generation of game engines has come upon us and thanks to Epic games they have created such an amazing engine called Unreal 4 Engine.

Using this engine has such a beautiful lighting, a great sky box that is added followed by the fact that there are alot of Video tutorial's and documentation.

I am still on the fence with unreal. Even though the engine is robust and there are some really great tools for it, I am not keen on the Kismet system and their scripting language is proprietary, which to me is a major failing and one of the strongest selling points of Unity.

ahh the kismet system is sort of a hit and miss kind of thing but it has its times when it really works and you have to research more into it

but looking at the Unreal 4 engine it uses blue print which is 200x easier there are two different ways for it like using C++ or designer Friendly which i recommend to those that are completely knew to Unreal 4 engine
